Objectives
· To promote the full range of L’Oréal Paris’s products to the UK market
· To exploit all the possibilities of the iPhone, by creating an interactive experience that ultimately encourages consumers to buy L’Oréal
Our response
To make L’Oréal’s application easy to navigate around, we used ‘touch’ functionality and an accelerometer (which detects movement and flips the screen from horizontal to vertical, and vice versa). We then came up with the following functions:
· Get the look : users can see pictures of the top L’Oréal models, and zoom in on part of their face to see what product they’re wearing
· Make up application videos : videos are available to download giving users beauty advice
· Your personalised diagnosis : users can answer questions about their skin and hair type, and then find out what products are best suited to them
This application, which is initially just for the UK market, complements the company’s website through a mobile device.
