Objectives

· To promote the company’s pharmaceutical products to the Spanish market

· To use Googlemaps to locate the pharmacies already selling the company’s products – and then offer them relevant information such as the location of American hospitals worldwide, recommended dentists and so on

· The application had to include a built-in accelerometer (to detect movement and change the device’s display automatically from portrait to landscape), a clinometer {c’est quoi?}, and shake functionality, as well as advanced 2D options

Our response

The application we came up with for GlaxoSmithKline features a picture of a first aid kit that appears on the user’s screen. They can open the kit with their finger, browse products, and shake the iPhone to change the selection. They can then choose to read the product description by clicking on it, or zoom in on it.

The kit also includes information relevant to their location, including useful quick dial numbers they can use, in the event of an emergency medical situation.
